Patient info

We value the relationships we build with each and every one of our patients and strive to maintain a relaxed, positive, and healing environment in which we can work as partners to support optimal whole body health through optimal oral health.

Below, you’ll find answers to the questions we get most often from patients who are deciding whether Boise Caring Dentistry is the right dental home for them.

Do you treat children?

We do not treat very young children, but tweens and teens are welcome as patients. We also ask that, as a courtesy to others, you do not bring young children with you to appointments.

Do you take insurance?

We do not participate in any dental benefits plans. However, if your policy allows you to see out-of-network providers, we’re happy to help you submit your claims for reimbursement.

Which forms of payment do you accept?

In addition to cash and checks, we accept all major credit cards.

Do you offer any kind of financing?

To help with costs not covered by insurance or especially large, complex treatment plans, we recommend CareCredit for financing. CareCredit offers flexible payment plans to help you get the dental treatments you need and the smile you deserve.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

When you schedule an appointment with us, we set aside a big block of time just for you, to make sure we have plenty of time not only for procedures but talking with you and answering any questions or concerns you may have. Because of this, we ask that you give us at least 48-hours’ notice if you will be unable to make your appointment. This gives us the opportunity to offer your time slot to another patient. If you must cancel or reschedule with less notice, you may be charged a nominal fee.

Do I need to fill out new patient paperwork in advance?

Yes, we ask each new patient to complete forms online before they come in for their first visit. This saves you time, since you won’t need to show up early to do them by hand, and it gives you the opportunity to be as thorough as possible. The more information we have about your dental and medical history and current status, the more readily we can tailor your appointment and subsequent care to your unique needs and goals.

Is your office fragrance-free?

Yes, we keep a fragrance-free office. Additionally, we favor eco-friendly cleaning materials for sanitation and have super efficient, high powered air filtration and air scrubbing throughout the office.

Do you have to take x-rays?

X-rays are an important tool because they allow us to evaluate the health of oral structures that can’t be seen through a simple visual exam, such as tooth roots and the jawbone that supports them. Each new patient must have a full mouth set of x-rays taken to establish a baseline for subsequent care. However, if you have a good quality set that’s less than a year old, we may be able to use those and avoid having to take a new set.
